Pétanque @ the AMA

A couple of years ago, the AMA to introduce pétanque as a sporting activity. Since a large portion of our members were interested in the sport, it seemed only natural for the association to follow this path. The AMA is officially registered with the NSW Pétanque League and is currently represented on the NSW Pétanque League Executive Committee by Jackie Kelly.

Players attend competitions every Sunday and also participate in interstate and overseas competitions, like the Oceania Games.

Pétanque is a growing sport in Australia. There are currently eight Pétanque clubs throughout NSW, each taking turns to host a competition.

You can find out more about the history of Pétanque and rules of the game below.

If you would like any information about Pétanque competitions, how you can participate etc, please do not hesitate to contact us.

UPDATE:
We now have 14 petanque courts available at the Bowling Club and we would like to see our members take advantage of these facilities.

Training takes place every Saturday at 3:00pm. Please contact one of our committee members or email us for more information.
